Predominantly, our team comprises of Registered Nurses (RNs) who are located in the Philippines, although some of our team members are also Certified Professional Coders (CPC) and acknowledged medical transcriptionists. To ensure absolute safety and compliance, we conduct thorough background checks on every member via the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), provide them with mandatory HIPAA-training, and verify their technical equipment to ascertain it meets our rigorous standards in terms of security and connectivity.

All of our Medical Virtual Assistants go through a thorough training program developed by our founder, Dr. Sigal. This rigorous program ensures they are well-versed in common health record systems, adherence to HIPAA guidelines, security measures, and optimum remote work procedures. 

 

This is, of course, on top of their already extensive experience and education in the healthcare field. Once on board, you’ll be required to guide your  Medical Virtual Assistant through the specific routine they will be following in your office, similar to how you’d introduce any new on-site staff member who already comes with a strong professional background

We ensure the productivity of our virtual medical and dental assistants by using advanced productivity tracking tools installed on their devices. During the onboarding process, we ensure that their computer hardware and anti-virus software meet our specific requirements. We recommend that clients have their Medical and Dental Virtual Assistant(s) sign Business Associate Agreements to further safeguard data. It’s important to note that our company itself does not require a BAA since we do not have access to Patient Health Information.

This is a strategic choice as the Philippines has a significant number of its citizens employed by US companies, including those in the healthcare sector.
